Bàsquet Girona wins against Joventut de Badalona in a very complete match (83-76)

Bàsquet Girona started the game with a good rhythm, taking the initiative on the scoreboard. However, a 0-10 run by Joventut de Badalona turned the situation around, giving the visitors a three-point lead in the first four minutes. From there, the rest of the quarter was very even, marked by respect between the two teams (18-18).

In the second quarter, the Girona team came out with great defensive intensity, which allowed them to regain the lead on the scoreboard. They completed a very serious quarter, while Badalona did not react until the final minutes. A three-pointer on the horn by Sušinskas extended the lead just before halftime (38-33).

In the second half, the tone of the match was maintained: maximum defensive intensity and hard-fought duels in the inner zone. In the last five minutes of the third quarter, Girona managed to stop Joventut’s attacks and, with a 13-5 run, went into the final period with an eight-point lead (66-58).

The last quarter started in the best way for the locals, achieving the maximum difference of the match (+14). However, in the last five minutes, the visitors have reduced the distance thanks to the success of the outside shot to 77-74. The fans, always dedicated, have pushed the Girona team to victory in a real Fontashow. Finally, Bàsquet Girona has won the derby with a hard-earned and deserved victory (83-76).
