In the first minutes of the match, the Girona team came in behind on the scoreboard, against a very successful opponent (9 points in two minutes). The Girona team maintained the seven-point deficit until the end of the last period. However, the second was a different story. From the defense, the Girona team only conceded five points in the first five minutes and countered the Manresa rhythm, finishing the first half ahead (44-38).

In the second half, a 0-11 run shattered Girona’s good lead (62-61) but in the last quarter, the three-pointers from Mindaugas Susinskas and the good playmaking of a record-breaking Guillem Ferrando (he equaled the highest number of assists by a Bàsquet Girona player in the ACB) allowed them to distance themselves from the score until the final minutes. The goals from Ike Iroegbu and Juan Fernández and the extra value from James Nnaji, who made a good debut (84-80), were also crucial.
