THE GIRONA BASKETBALL PRE-SEASON INCLUDES A MATCH IN FONTAJAU

It will be on Sunday, September 8 (7:30 p.m.) against the German Ratiopharm Ulm, in which the tenth anniversary of the club will be commemorated

The 2024-25 Girona Basketball pre-season, which will begin on Thursday 15 August with the first group training session, will include seven preparatory games.

The main sporting event will be the game celebrating the tenth anniversary in Fontajau . Team and fans will meet again on Sunday, September 8 (7:30 p.m.) in a festive day that will pit the first team against the German Ratiopharm Ulm , which this season has contested the Eurocup (second highest European competition).

Fotis Katsikaris’ men will play the opening match in the Sant Julià de Vilatorta tournament against BAXI Manresa on Wednesday 28 August (8pm). The next day, the first team will fly to Hangzhou (China) where they will stay until September 3rd in which they will play two matches. The first will be against the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions on the last of August (1:30 p.m., Catalan time) and the second against Barça on the second day of September (1:00 p.m., Catalan time).

Three days after the tenth anniversary party in Fontajau, the team will play in the Catalan League against MoraBanc Andorra (11th, 8.30pm) and Barça (13th, 9pm) in Tarragona . If he wins both meetings, he will fight for the title on Sunday 15. The last preparation match will be on Saturday 21 September, a week before the start of the ACB, at the Salou pavilion against Hiopos Lleida (7pm).

The club will soon inform about the ticket purchase system for both the Fontajau match and the rest of the pre-season matches. For the festive date of the 10th anniversary, all season ticket holders will be able to reserve exclusively the same place they have during the season. It will only be through the APP for one week. The entrance is not included in the season ticket and will be paid , with an exclusive price for season ticket holders.
