The path to Fontajau passes through the Prat

The first team visits the Praten pavilion with the advantage of the victory against Lleida

After beating Lleida 82-66, the first team will close its participation in the Catalan League LEB Gold triangular this Saturday against CB Prat at the Joan Busquets stadium (6:10 p.m.). A hypothetical victory would ensure access to next Saturday’s final in Fontajau, while a defeat would leave the final table up in the air until next Wednesday – when Lleida and Prat play. It will be the team’s first official match as a visitor and the second meeting against a team in the same category.

CB Prat, which regained the category last season after spending two seasons in LEB Plata, has put together a squad led by Josep Maria Berrocal with a significant representation of young talents such as Arnau Parrado, on loan from La Penya, who has already made his debut with the first team from Badalón. From last season, aside from Parrado, the experienced Marc Blanch, Adrià Domènech, Kriss Helmanis, Yannick Kraag and Zsombor Maronka are still at the potablava club. In the management of the game, they have bet with the ex-Gironi Sergi Costa, who will return to the category after competing in the Iberostar Palma in the 2017/18 season before moving to Básquet Girona.
