Basketball Girona lost in Fontajau against a very inspired HLA Alicante from the three-point line (75-94).
Girona Basketball played the first game of 2022 in Fontajau in front of their fans. The team was unable to overcome HLA Alicante who took the victory based on a very solid defense and a remarkable success from the three-point line. We have been inconsistent from the first moments. We didn’t come out with the energy we wanted. Throughout the game we were not tight in defense, except in the third quarter when we managed to regroup the team. Defensively they punished us and that made their men more comfortable.”
