The Girona Basketball expedition to China arrived this Wednesday morning in Fontajau after the long journey from China. The team has completed the stay in Hangzhou with two victories and with a suitcase full of experiences that have strengthened the chemistry between the players.

In the first game, on Saturday, August 31, the team faced the home team ZJ Lions who they beat 51-75, with a great percentage from the outside line (13/27 on 3-pointers).

Victory against Barça

In the second meeting in Chinese territory, Básquet Girona faced Barça in the Catalan derby that closed the friendly tournament. After a bad start, the players trained by Fotis Katsikaris gained ground on the Blaugrana team and managed to take the lead on the scoreboard at the end of the third quarter. In the last ten minutes, the Girona team did not give up, the closer they got to the opponent, the better they showed themselves on the court, until they achieved victory (64-72). During the days of stay, the team also had time to learn about Chinese culture and the most emblematic places in the city of Hangzhou.

This Friday, September 6, Girona Basketball will resume the usual dynamic of training with the commemorative match of the tenth anniversary on the horizon.
