The squad has started preparing for the 2023-24 season

The second season of Girona Basketball in the elite was inaugurated today, August 14, with most of the members of the squad already in Fontajau. The first to train – still individually, in the gym and on the track – were Juani Marcos, Sergi Martínez, Mindaugas Sušinskas, Yves Pons, Jaume Sorolla, Èric Vila and Sefan Đorđević. 

The rest of the squad, with the exception of Maxi Fjellerup who is competing in the pre-Olympics with the Argentina team, will join the sessions between today and tomorrow afternoon, when the first group session will take place.

Salva Camps also joins today to direct training, having finished his concentration with the Spanish national team, where he assisted the coaching staff for the preparation of the World Cup. 

The first test of the first team of Basketball Girona will be on Friday 25 August, at 7.30 pm against Rasta Vechta, in the presentation in front of the fans in Fontajau. The first league game will not be played until September 23 in Valencia.
