The U16 will play in the Preferred Cadet Group A
The team led by Raül Galobardes and Oriol Ribas wins the CB Cornellà A in Olost and will remain in group A in the next phase of Cadet Preferent

The U16 played an even match at a neutral venue, in Olost, against CB Cornellà A to decide which of the two teams went to group A and which to group B of Cadet Preferent. The score remained very tight until the third period, in which the Girona players were able to take a lead of nearly ten points.
This advantage was not definitive since Cornellà, without giving up, remained with options in the match until they were again four points behind in the final minutes of the match. In a close match, the U16 took advantage of the scoreboard and the game ended 69-66.
A result that allows Escola Bàsquet Girona Marc Gasol to maintain the next phase of Preferred Cadet in group A facing FC Barcelona Lassa A, Club Joventut Badalona A, CB L’Hospitalet A, Platges de Mataró, Catalana Occident Manresa A, UB Sant Adrià 1 and CE Sant Nicolau Kyrya. So, the same rivals as in the previous phase except for the last two, first and third group 2 respectively.
