U13 and U15 win their home matches and U14 and U16 fail to reach the final four
U17
The first-year junior clinched the Federation Cup in Barcelona in a great weekend of basketball. The semi-final against JAC Sants started with a small advantage thanks to a good strike from outside, but the rival immediately equalized the score based on greater defensive hardness and being very vertical in attack.
In the resumption, the script of the match was similar, in which the opponent tried to get ahead of the electronic, but based on a solid defense we did not allow them to do so. In the end, an improvement in free throw accuracy secured them access to the final (77-74).
In the final meeting, the team completed a sensational second and last quarter in attack and defense (52-25 between the two halves) to put the final on track, even though the opponent had been within five points in the last ten minutes But the team was firm in its convictions and sealed the title with the maximum of the game in a very good last election in the offensive plot (91-71).
U16
A bad start due to poor ball circulation and poor defensive communication in the first period conditioned the entire quarter-final game of the 2005 generation. With some adjustments and a lot of work without lowering their heads, the team from Girona managed to get close to the scoreboard on a few occasions. However, Barça responded to all attempts to come back with a great success from outside (71-77).
U15 | 118-29
The U15 received Montfalgars at Adepaf. Continuing with the tone of the season, the players from Girona prevailed with a high pace both in attack and defense that allowed them to take advantages in the score early – 31-13 at the end of the first ten minutes.
U14
The second-year children fell in the quarter-finals against CB Cornellà and could not access the final 4. The first half was determined by a greater intensity of the locals, who, based on great defensive pressure and mastery of the rebound on both sides of the court, took a lead of more than 20 points at halftime (43-22 ). In the resumption, despite the visitors’ attempts to get closer to the scoreboard based on quick counter-attacking actions, the locals knew how to manage the wide lead on the scoreboard and took the game (81-60).
U13 | 62-89
The youngest members of the base won at CB Blanes in the last game of the season. A strong partial 4-26 determined much of what the forty minutes were, in which the team led by Albert Roca, Edu Garcia and Marc Xargay excelled in defensive attitude and offensive effectiveness, being supportive in the aids and adding in different ways.
