After a few tight first minutes, Covirán Granada achieved an initial advantage of +7 with a good offensive performance (10-17). The Girona scoring battery was not at full capacity, finding free shots but having difficulty scoring from outside. In the second period, the Girona team managed to get to 4 but a three-pointer by Lluís Costa, one of the best of the Andalusians, made it -11. Then, the Girona team increased its defensive intensity and accumulated good defenses that did not transfer to the attacking section, leaving a one-point difference in the disadvantage of the first quarter on the way to the locker room (36-43).

The way Girona Basketball came back in the second half was the trigger for Moncho Fernández’s men to take the victory. A 17-0 run led by Otis Livingston, Girona’s best player in the second half with 18 points, who finished as MVP of the game, catapulted Girona to a 10-point lead (53-43). The good dynamics in defense and offense were also reflected in the rebound, in which the Girona team beat Granada 17-9 in the second half. However, the Andalusians did not give up and went on to string together runs and a tug-of-war that made it -4 at the end of the third quarter. A three-pointer by Mindaugas Susinskas seemed to open a gap in the scoreboard, but three almost consecutive three-pointers by Granada tied the score at 70.

And then Otis Livingston II appeared with a 3+1, the second he produced in the match, to shake Fontajau. Although the result could have been complicated in the last minute, the know-how and presence of Bàsquet Girona allowed them to add their third consecutive victory as a home team (82-76).
