Txemi Urtasun joins Basketball Girona

José Miguel Urtasun Uriz (Pamplona, ​​1984) becomes part of the club’s first team until the end of the season. Known by the nickname ‘Txemi’ (193 cm), he has a long career with ACB teams, where he also competed in Eurocup and Eurolliga, and also in LEB Or, where he has competed for the last three seasons, in Melilla, Ourense and Alicante respectively.

He made his debut in the second highest Spanish division in Bilbao in the 2002/03 season and in the ACB three seasons later, in 2005/06, wearing the shirt of Breogán. He would play the Eurocup in two different experiences (Seville and Gran Canaria) and the Euroleague during the two seasons he was in Malaga (2012-14).

This year he started making his debut in the top Mexican competition (Aguascalientes) and, since January, he was part of the first team of Básquet Manresa (ACB).
