Yves Pons, new addition to Basketball Girona

The French winger-pivot arrives from LDLC ASVEL de Lyon

Yves Pons (Port-au-Prince, Haiti, 1999) is a new player for Basketball Girona for the 2023-24 season. The 200 cm power forward has a French passport and arrives at the ACB from LDLC ASVEL, a team with which he played in the French league and the Euroleague this past season.

Pons’ career also includes experience in the United States: from 2017 to 2021 he was part of the Tennessee Volunteers, in the NCAA. The following season, 2021-22, he made his NBA debut with the Memphis Grizzlies, combining his participation also with the Memphis Hustle of the G-League. 

The signing adds to the continuity of Jaume Sorolla, Èric Vila and Maxi Fjellerup and the arrivals of Stefan Đorđević, Juani Marcos, Ike Iroegbu and Markel Brown. Quino Colom has a valid contract with the club.
