The match began with a duel of snipers from the three-point line, where Girona struck first with a devastating 2-18 run that turned a favorable start for the locals (from 9-5 to 9-20). Despite this initial dominance by the Girona team, Dreamland Gran Canaria reacted in time through the success of Brussino and Robertson from the outside. During the second quarter, the dynamics changed completely: a 20-6 run allowed the Canaries to turn the score around before the break (43-38). This period was marked by the performances of Isaiah Wong and Nico Brussino , who added 9 and 10 points respectively in a second period where the yellow attack scored up to 31 points.

In the second half, the Catalan team did not give up and, thanks to a notable defensive improvement that limited the rival to only 17 points, managed to regain the initiative with a three-pointer by Pep Busquets (55-59). Despite having options in the final attack, Gran Canaria stepped on the accelerator again with a 5-2 start and took advantage of Girona entering the bonus very early, in the third minute of the fourth quarter. The dominance in rebounding (33 to 26) and the offensive voracity of the pair Wong (25 points) and Brussino (26 points) were definitive. The 36 points conceded by Girona in the last ten minutes sealed the final 100-90 , despite the great collective effort of the visitors. One of the key points of the Canarian victory was the free throw, in which they had seventeen more shots than the Girona team, eleven more in the last quarter. A third of the Canary Islands’ points have been from 4.60 m.
