Spar Girona and Bàsquet Girona reaffirmed this weekend their commitment to youth mental health through the “Cap Caos Al Cap” campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and promoting emotional well-being among young people in the Gironès and La Selva regions.

The action took place on Saturday, October 11, during the match between Bàsquet Girona and UCAM Murcia CB, and on Sunday, October 12, during the match between Spar Girona and BAXI Ferrol. In both matches, an information stand on mental health allowed young people and families to learn about the resources available and receive advice. In addition, attendees were able to enjoy the performance of Xalats, participants in the 9th edition of Talent Gironès 2025, during halftime.

This action is part of the “Ocell de foc” project, promoted by the General Directorate of Social and Solidarity Economy, the Third Sector and Cooperatives of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which works for the mental health of young people.

The Gironès and Idària Regional Council has very positively assessed this collaboration, highlighting its ability to make mental health problems visible and to highlight the role of sport as a tool for social cohesion and emotional well-being.
