Bàsquet Girona and Clínica Iknos join forces to take care of the health of their teams

SPAR Girona and FIATC Girona have undergone a biomechanical study in Fontajau to optimize the well-being and performance of their athletes

Girona Basketball continues to make efforts for the well-being and health of its athletes. These days, the SPAR Girona and FIATC Girona teams have undergone a complete podiatric and biomechanical review at the Fontajau facilities by the Iknos Clinic, a specialized center in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

These tests have allowed for a detailed analysis of the footwork and movement of all the players from the first two teams, both in a static position and while running. Using this analysis technology, Iknos specialists have been able to evaluate posture, plantar pressures and joint behavior of the insoles to detect possible imbalances and adapt the work to the demands of high competition.

As a result of this review, the clinic has developed 100% personalized insoles for all athletes from the first teams (FIATC Girona and SPAR Girona). A key tool to improve support, optimize performance on the court and, above all, prevent future injuries during a season that is expected to be very demanding.
