A clash of heights

The senior of Basketball Girona has quite a challenge this day in the CA group of the EBA League. It will travel to the Vive-El Masnou Basketball court on Saturday (8:15 p.m.), which has the same record (11-3) although the team led by Quim Costa is in the lead due to the best difference in points. Either way, the two arrive at the date in an excellent dynamic. The Girona team have won seven games, while in the same period, Maresme have only conceded one defeat (6-1), on their court against Mataró Parc Boet (62-68).  

The rival from Girona, managed by Raül Laita for the second consecutive season, has a consolidated block, with a lot of experience in the category and which bases its consistency on the defense. It is the second that receives the fewest points in the group (70 on average), surpassed only by Club Bàsquet Menorca (69.8). Base Albert Valle is the reference, with 14.6 points and 5.1 assists on average. In the first round, in Fontajau, Básquet Girona prevailed 80-72 with 15 points from David Cuéllar and 13 from Dani Manchón.
