In an intense and leveled match, the senior overcomes BBA Castelldefels in overtime (78-76) and extends its winning streak in the CA group of the EBA League

The senior from Basketball Girona suffered a lot this afternoon not to break his positive streak. The team led by Quim Costa has overcome BBA Castelldefels after an extension in the first game of the second round (78-76) and has already accumulated seven consecutive victories in the CA group of the EBA League. The result allows him to stay in the lead (11-3), just before visiting the track of the second-ranked team, Vive El Masnou Basketball, the next day. The match will be on Saturday 27 January (8:15 p.m.).  

The team started with a push, wanting to impose their rhythm, but it was impossible for them to do so. First, for his inaccuracy in the shot despite locating good situations and then, for the credit of the opponent, who knew how to make him uncomfortable, force him to make mistakes and make it difficult for him to control the rebound. At the half, there was equality (29-28). The match was deadlocked and both the one and the other were working at batzegades. Thus, just after the Barcelona players pulled the strings (38-43, 26′), Básquet Girona responded with a few minutes of high intensity and verticality that allowed them to close the third quarter with a 10-0 partial lead (48 -43). Boronat’s wrist pulled BBA Castelldefels back at the start of the last quarter (0-11 and 48-54, 33′), but the locals responded again. In a head-to-head finish, the duel went to overtime. There, the team led by Quim Costa, clinging to the defense due to their bad day in the triple, took the initiative for good that the opponent never gave up and had one last possession to force a second extra time .
