The player from Llagostera returns to Fontajau after competing for the last four seasons in Liga Endesa

Albert Sàbat Vilà (Llagostera, 1985) is the first addition to the Girona Basketball first team for the 2019-2020 season. The player from Llagostera will return to Fontajau, where he made his debut in the ACB, becoming a player with experience in the preferred categories of Spanish basketball after having competed in LEB Plata, ACB and above all LEB Or.

Completing his first steps through the lower categories of CB Llagostera and Sant Josep Girona, Albert Sàbat began his senior career in the 2002-03 season at Adepaf Figueres in the EBA category. During the first year, he made his debut in the ACB with the Casademont Girona team thanks to the link with the team from Figueres. After two seasons, he became a fixture of the Girona team, with 21 ACB games on his shoulders last year.

After playing for Adepaf Figueres and Casademont Girona, there would be 9 experiences in LEB Or (Plus Pujol Lleida, Tenerife Rural, CB Vic, Sant Josep Girona, CB Canarias, Lucentum Alicante and Ford Burgos), 2 in Liga Endesa (Joventut de Badalona and Monbus Obradoiro) and 2 more in LEB Plata (Géstiberica Vigo and Akasvayu Vic) after 14 seasons.

Sàbat arrives at Básquet Girona after playing in the Liga Endesa with the shirt of Monbus Obradoiro.
