Alfons Alzamora, the quarter that renews
The Mallorcan pivot will bring his quality and experience to the senior level for one more season, now at LEB Plata

Basketball Girona and Alfons Alzamora have reached an agreement for the renewal of the Mallorcan pivot for another season. Formed in the lower categories of FC Barcelona, Alzamora (2.06m, 20-5-1979) accumulates 358 games in the ACB between the Blaugrana club itself (1997-2003), Joventut de Badalona (2003/04), Breogán (2004-06), Menorca (2006/07) and Manresa (2007-2011). The last few seasons he had played in the LEB Or, five with Lleida (2011/02 and 2013-17) and one with the FC Barcelona affiliate (2012/13), before arriving last year at Básquet Girona to play in EBA. His record includes 1 Euroleague (2002/03), 1 Korac (1998/99), 2 ACB (1998/99 and 2002/03) and a cup (2002/03).
The continuity of Alzamora is added to those of Xavi Costa, David Cuéllar and Pau Juscafresa, and to the six additions (Nil Angelats, Sergi Costa, Henry Bolton, Leo Cizmic, Robert Cosialls and Andre Berry). They have all started the pre-season under the orders of Quim Costa.
