BÀSQUET GIRONA AND JORDI PLÀ PART THEIR PATHS

Jordi Plà captained the sports area since May 2020

Básquet Girona and the sports director of the first team, Jordi Plà Comas, agree to end the professional relationship that united them since May 2020, after the team’s promotion to LEB Or.

In these almost four seasons, Jordi Plà contributed to the consolidation of the first team in the LEB Or and the achievement of promotion to the ACB League, reinforcing the sports project in the first season in the highest category of national basketball.

The club would like to especially thank him for his work, professionalism and dedication to Básquet Girona all these years and wish him the best of luck in his future challenges.

Jesús Escosa, current head of performance and technical director of the base, will become the General Manager leading the sports section of the first team.

Marc Gasol: “Jordi’s involvement both personally and professionally has been commendable. I am very grateful for the effort and commitment he has shown all these years at the club. Jordi will always be part of Básquet Girona”.

Jordi Plà Comas: “For my part, I would like to express the deep gratitude I feel for Básquet Girona for having been able to be part of the organization during these years, and to thank the people who make up it for the learning, both professional as well as personal, received in the day to day we have shared together. And naturally, to wish the best and the greatest number of successes to the teams and the people who work for the growth and consolidation of the club.”

The press conference to introduce Jesús Escosa will be this afternoon at 6:00 p.m. in the press room of the Fontajau Pavilion.
