Basketball Girona creates its first team in the senior category

The new team will train and play in Fontajau

The Escola Bàsquet Girona Marc Gasol would like to announce that it has decided to create a senior men’s team that will compete, from the next season 2017/2018, in the EBA League, under the name Básquet Girona.

The main objective is to root, once again, an exciting basketball project in the city of Girona that will help promote this sport throughout the province. The technical and sports organization chart is currently being drawn up and will start working in the coming weeks.

The organization started its activity in the 2014/15 season with five basic teams. The season that has just ended had six teams from the U13 to the U18, competing at the Pavilion de Montfalgars in Girona. With the creation of the senior category, the organization now has seven teams.
