Cadet B, second in the group stage at the Farners Tournament

Cadet B has closed the group phase of the 3rd Torneig de Farners in second place with one win and one loss, behind Catalana Occident Manresa – undefeated with two wins. The Girona players have started the tournament with a narrow 44-50 victory over CB Calella in a very even match between the two teams and Cadet B dominated at half-time by 26-27. The team led by Carles Nadal and Oriol Ribas has been more successful in the last few minutes and this has allowed them to make their debut with a win in one of the two games that opened the tournament.

In the second match, the Girona side lost to Catalana Occident Manresa 46-65. The Manresans dominated the entire match with advantages close to ten points, but the third quarter was decisive. A great success from the three-point line by Manresa left the score at 30-56 at the end of the third quarter. In the last period, Cadet B was able to close the gap on the scoreboard but had no options to take the win.

Real Madrid awaits in the quarterfinals
The Girona team will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals after the Madrid team finished the group stage in first place by defeating CEB Girona and Unió Bàsquet Sant Adrià. Real Madrid-CEB Marc Gasol will be played this Saturday (12:15 p.m.).
