FIATC Girona adapts its travel plan to guarantee the match in Vitoria

The team will spend the night in Zaragoza and resume the journey to Vitoria tomorrow.

FIATC Girona has had to modify its travel plan to Vitoria due to the effects caused by the storm affecting Catalonia.

The Girona expedition traveled to Barcelona airport this Saturday to catch the flight to Bilbao. After several hours of waiting at the airport and due to the accumulated delays, it was finally not possible to complete the flight normally.

Given this situation, and after the relevant consultations with the ACB, the club has worked to find an alternative that would guarantee the team’s commitment to the competition and prevent this situation from affecting the official calendar.

Despite not having recovered their checked bags, the expedition has begun the road trip by bus. The team will spend the night in Zaragoza and resume the journey to Vitoria tomorrow.

In order to facilitate the movement of the expedition and guarantee the match, work is underway on the final schedule for the match and it will be communicated in the coming hours.

In this way, FIATC Girona makes an additional effort to guarantee the match and maintain its commitment to the competition, despite the difficulties caused by the weather situation.
