The senior concludes the year with the dispute in the first final of the LEB Plata Cup

After the victory in Palau against Barça B, the senior will play on Saturday, the first final of the club’s LEB Plata cup, against Juaristi ISB at Azpeitia municipal (7:00 p.m.).

Iñaki Jiménez’s team signed a start to the season based on Girona’s record. As a result, they qualified as winter champions to contest this long-awaited final on the same day as the senior. Currently, they have 11 wins and 4 losses.

The team stands out for its intensity and the physical demands it puts on the opponent. Proof of this is the 19’2 fouls per game averaged by the team or the strength transmitted by Lowrance (12.4 points), who accumulated 20 blocks and 4.1 defensive rebounds. On the other hand, the most valued player is Allen (207). He is the leader and one of the most dangerous men of the Gipuzkoa group.

The senior will be accompanied by around fifty fans who will travel to support the team in the Basque Country.

“You prepare the final for any scenario, but the image you have is that of a long-lasting match that is decided in the final stretch. We will both have alternatives and whoever knows how to prolong it and manage it better will have more possibilities. A challenge of maximum difficulty and demand and also a great incentive.”
