An excellent third quarter catapults the senior, who defeats Coalci CB Sant Josep (82-66) and is 6-3 in the EBA CA group

For the second time this season, the senior of Basketball Girona has strung together two victories. This evening, they beat Coalci CB Sant Josep in Fontajau (82-66), in a game that broke in the third quarter when they asserted their defense and opened up holes for counterattacks and triples. The victory keeps Quim Costa’s team in the upper zone of the EBA CA group, with a 6-3 record.

The Badalonians arrived at the match in good dynamics and they showed it in the first quarter, in which they dominated the game and the result. It wasn’t until the second half, when the locals began to find themselves better on the court and the increase in defensive intensity allowed them to contain the rival attack and reach half-time with a slight advantage (39 -34). It was the prelude to what was to come after the passage through the changing rooms. A magnificent third quarter, in which the work at the back has collapsed the Coalci CB Sant Josep. Básquet Girona, with control of the rebound in both rings, shot up on the scoreboard with actions in the open field and with a lot of success in the triple. The distance has reached +26 at the end of this partial (65-39). From here until the end, and with the game settled, the pace has dropped. Raimon Carrasco was injured during the game, while Jaime Llano was out with a knock. His place in the call has been taken by Pau Casademont.

The next senior game will be on Sunday, November 26, at the Roser Basketball Club court (6:30 p.m.).
