Juste Jocyte, European talent for the outside of Spar Girona

International with Lithuania and with experience in Europe, Juste Jocyte reinforces the exterior line of Spar Girona.

Juste Jocyte (Palanga, Lithuania, 19/11/2005) is a new player for Spar Girona for the next two seasons. The 19-year-old left winger comes from LDLC ASVEL Féminin, the club where she trained and with whom she has played in the Ligue Féminine de Basketball (LFB) and the EuroCup Women.

A full-time international with Lithuania from a very young age, Jocyte is considered one of the most promising young players in European basketball. Despite her youth, she has already had experience in high-level competitions with the French team, completing a great season both in the league and in Europe.

In the LFB she has registered 11.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, with an average rating of 8.9. In the EuroCup Women, her numbers have been equally consistent: 12.1 points, 3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 11.3 rating per game. One of her most brilliant games was played in Fontajau, in the quarter-finals of the European competition, scoring 21 points and achieving a rating of 16.

Jocyte has also been one of the great sensations of the last EuroBasket Women, in which she led the Lithuanian team with 16 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and a 16.7 rating per game.

With this move, Bàsquet Girona continues to define its women’s sports project, with Jocyte as the fourth confirmed player on the squad.
