The senior team, the best local team in the EBA League CA group this year, receives Mataró Parc Boet on Saturday (7 p.m.)

After a week of hiatus, the senior team of Basketball Girona resumes the thread of the competition on Saturday. It will do so by hosting Mataró Parc Boet in Fontajau (7 p.m.), with the idea of ​​consolidating its regularity as a venue. So far, he has lost only one of the eight games he has played in front of his fans. The team coached by Quim Costa is currently in second place in the EBA League CA group, with 11-4.  

Those from Maresme, led for another year by Alberto Peña on the bench, have in their squad the MVP of the group, the American Faronte Drakeford, who credits 19.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 23.1 average assessment, and of players with a dense career in the LEB such as Carles Canals or Marc Rubio, Ricky’s brother. Mataró Parc Boet, currently sixth with 8-7, has been able to beat this season on the court of the leader, Vive-El Masnou Basketball (62-68), and also defeated the Girona in the first round (83- 79).
