On March 12, come by bike to Fontajau: together we will make 'The least polluting party'

The Girona City Council is expanding the bicycle parking spaces in the pavilion and, with the collaboration of  Yosoy, the club wants to reduce the footprint of  CO₂

Day 22, in which Valencia  Basketball  will visit the Fontajau pavilion, Basketball Girona has set itself a challenge: to ensure that this is ‘The least polluting match’.

The club estimates at 850 the cars used to go to a Girona Basketball match, of which 10% are electric or hybrid. This implies that the environmental footprint of each party is around 7,800 kg of CO₂. 

This is why we propose to reduce the use of polluting vehicles. This is an action that is part of the social and ecological commitment that the club has been working on since its inception. In order to reduce the footprint of  CO₂  caused by motorized vehicles, Girona City Council will increase the number of bicycle parking spaces.

In addition, the club will enable a storage room to store bicycle helmets. The use of  padlock  security is mandatory.
