The senior team of Básquet Girona has qualified this evening for the first final in its history, that of the Catalan League LEB Plata, after beating CB Vic – Universitat de Vic in the semi-final played in Santa Coloma de Farners (60 -96). The team from Girona, which has dominated the scoreboard for almost the entire game, will contest the title this Saturday against Torrons Vicens CB L’Hospitalet (6.30 p.m.), also in the Selva town.

Despite a few first steps with some advantage from Ozona, the block led by Quim Costa has acquired the initiative when it has raised the defensive tone. The work at the back paid off in the middle of the second quarter, when a partial 0-10 allowed him to open a hole (29-38, 15′). With verticality and balance between the inside and outside contribution, the distance has increased to +15 (32-47) a few seconds after going to the changing rooms. After the restart, CB Vic was more aggressive, which allowed them to get closer. But he has never done enough to question the victory at Básquet Girona, who, at the end of the third quarter, had a new maximum advantage (51-71, 29′). With everything decided, the Girona players, who have debuted their third kit (all black), continued to work the same until the end.
