| Friday, 15 November 2019

With eight victories achieved, Básquet Girona will look for the ninth on Saturday in the second consecutive home match (19:00). The opponent will be Club Bàsquet Prat, relegated from LEB Or, which occupies fourth position, with six wins and three losses. A new trial by fire for the Girona team, which will thus close the first round of the first phase at home.

The Praten club has continued to count on Daniel Miret in the direction of the team and has put together an almost new squad to opt for promotion to LEB Or. Ten high among which is former senior Leo Cizmic. Of these new faces, Marc Blanch, top scorer and most highly rated player, stands out in particular. Arnau Parrado is the top rebounder and Carles Marzo has the most assists.

The Potablava will arrive in Fontajau as the most scoring attack (85.1 points/game) and the best percentage in field goals in the league (46.5%). It is also the team with the most assists (17’1) and the one with the best average of recovered balls (11’1).

*Statements by Álex Formento:

“Like every week. With the utmost respect and preparing to receive a very difficult opponent and with the utmost ambition and focused on the task, in every action and in every minute until the 40th.”

“El Prat is a long and complete team with many focuses of attention due to the talent of all its players. Many of them can unbalance your match due to their individual abilities. It is not the top scorer by chance, a squad with many resources and capabilities. Surely he will demand the maximum from us.”

“These are data that speak of the great performance of all the players and their involvement. Nothing better than being able to enjoy  in front of our people and with our people. At the same time, as focused as ever so we can always focus on the next challenge.”
