SPAR Girona will face the fourth matchday of the EuroCup Women this Wednesday, November 4, at 5:15 p.m. The Girona team will visit SBS Ostrava at the City Campus, in the Czech Republic, in the first match of the second round of the group stage. The Girona team, who have accumulated two wins and one loss, will look to add another victory to continue at the top of the Group K standings.

About the opponent

Ostrava comes into the match with a record of one win and two losses in the first three days of the EuroCup Women. The Czech team is coming off a home loss to Montana by 49 to 79, in a match in which they were unable to compete for the win. Their only victory in the competition came on the court of Rutronik Stars Keltern (80-84). In the first round match, SPAR Girona clearly won by 77 to 49.

Among the most outstanding players of the Czech team is Marina Ewodo, who averages 12.7 points per game. We should also take into account the center Kadri-Ann Lass, with 10.3 points and 3.3 assists on average, and Lucie Válková, another of the team’s offensive references.

SPAR Girona

SPAR Girona reaches the commitment after winning the last European match on the Rutronik Stars Keltern court by 55 to 70. Roberto Íñiguez’s team thus achieved the second victory in this edition of the EuroCup Women.

Regarding the rivals, Íñiguez highlighted that he is clear about “what they are like. If you let them play comfortably and five against five, they are dangerous. They have a lot of outside shooting and big players who can also shoot. We have to be very good in defense. We have to run more. We score few points on the counterattack and we have to improve that. We want to look for a game in which the rotations don’t take too long.”
