U14, U15, U17 and U18 win while U13 and U16 lose their matches played in Montfalgars
Record of the U13
The Girona side lost 40-59 to Básquet Manresa in a match in which the visitors were ahead on the scoreboard from the start. However, the U13 proved to be consistent throughout the game and went into the break with a 22-34 score. At the restart, both teams maintained their efforts and finally it was the Manresans who took the victory.
U14 triumph
The team led by Arnau Sacot and Sergi Juanola won against CB Mollet B in a match in which the Girona dominated 45-28 at halftime. The visitors did not give up at any time, but the U14 ended up winning 90-39 in the match that opened the day on Saturday at the Montfalgars pavilion.
They prevail at CB Mollet A
The U15 won 109-53 against CB Mollet A in a game in which the intensity of the Girona players served to have a lead of more than ten points during the first quarter and which increased to thirty-two at halftime. In the second half, Girona were able to gradually increase the difference in the score to fifty-six points.
The U16 fall to UE Mataró
The team led by Raül Galobardes and Oriol Ribas played an intense match against UE Mataró in a match in which the visitors dominated the scoreboard from the start with differences of less than ten points. With a 31-40 lead at halftime, the U16 saw how in the third period a 12-22 run increased the difference to 19 points. In the last ten minutes, the Girona team was able to reduce the visitors’ lead to 13 points (60-73).
Fourth for the U17
The Girona team won SESE B in the match corresponding to matchday 4 and allows the U17s to remain unbeaten for one more matchday. The intensity and constancy of the two sets left a game with few differences in the score (35-28 at half-time). In the third period, the Girona team achieved a 20-10 partial lead that was decisive for the outcome of the match, resolved in the last period with the final 72-50.
Home debut with victory
The U18 achieved the first victory by defeating CB Grup Barna by a close 75-69 in an equal match between the two teams and in which the visitors started dominating. A 19-3 run in the second period allowed the team led by Carles Ribot and Arnau Sacot to go into the break with fourteen points. In the resumption, however, the consistency of the visitors equalized the score again (52-45) but the U18 ended up closing the game to add the first victory in Montfalgars.
