The U18 debut with a win

The team led by Carles Ribot and Arnau Sacot wins 45-55 on the track of CB L'Hospitalet B and adds the first victory in day 1 of the phase of access to Junior Preferent

The U18 started this Wednesday the stages of access to Preferent with a 45-55 victory against CB L’Hospitalet B. The Girona players were intense from the start and this allowed them to close the first period with a lead of ten points (9-19). The second period was also favorable to the group led by Carles Ribot and Arnau Sacot, with a favorable 19-34 at the break.

At the restart, a third quarter with very few points from both teams left the game with the Girona team more than ten points ahead of the scoreboard. In the last quarter, the locals managed to reduce the difference to 8 points with just over a minute left. The U18, however, closed the first day with a win.

Claudi Rus, Aniol Quintana and Marcel Fopma have been absent for this match, so the U17 players Joan Guich, Albert Nyemb, Guillem Cuadrado and Joaquín Rosito have reinforced the U18. The next match will take place this Friday in Montfalgars against CB Igualada A (7:30 p.m.).
