The Girona finish the phase of access to Junior Preferred with a 70-64 win against CB Cerdanyola and do not reach the category despite the effort and competitive level shown
The team led by Carles Ribot and Arnau Sacot dominated the match except at some point in the second period against a Cerdanyola who did not stop fighting. The first quarter ended with a slight advantage for Girona (16-14), although the U18s were able to slightly widen the difference to reach the break four points ahead (33-29).
In the second half, the U18 continued to fight steadily until reaching the final 70-64, which was the third victory on the last day of the access phase to Junior Preferred (3-1).
Even so, the EBG Marc Gasol does not reach the Preferred category due to the difference in the average. From here we want to congratulate the U18 for the effort made in these matches and CB L’Hospitalet B for their classification in this very competitive group.
