Very complete performance by the senior, who prevails on the Coalci CB Sant Josep court (70-91) and comes close to second place in the EBA CA group

The senior team of Bàsquet Girona had been looking for a home victory for some time and this afternoon they found it on the court of Coalci CB Sant Josep (70-91). He has done it by recovering the virtues of his game, with defensive activity, transition and many players contributing. Junior Guillem Cuadrado has even made his debut with the first team, who already trains regularly. The victory allows the team led by Quim Costa to consolidate third position in the EBA CA group (15-7) and get closer to the second place, Vive El Masnou Basketball (15-6).  

The Badalona track is one of the most fearsome of the group, but the Girona players have come out very mentally prepared. So much so that, in the first quarter, they were able to collapse the opponent’s attack and, from the control of the rebound in their ring, find the way to the game in the open field (5-17). The points of Gerard Blat, who finished with 27, supported his own who, at halftime, had partially closed the gap. Upon returning from the locker room, Bàsquet Girona recovered the defensive tone of the beginning and, also with success from the perimeter, ended up opening a hole that would be irreparable for their rival (44-65, 30′). With the game settled, both teams lowered their performances in the last quarter.  

The next senior game will be in two weeks because the competition takes a break for Easter. It will receive the Roser Basketball Club in Fontajau on April 7 (7 p.m.).
