The Girona Basketball senior took a valuable victory this afternoon on the Barberà Team Values ​​court (73-81). The team went from less to more and ended up taking over the game from the third quarter thanks to a substantial increase in intensity, especially in defense. The victory allows him to continue at the top of the CA group of the EBA League, with 5-3.

The staging was not bad, but very soon Quim Costa’s men got stuck with the alternative defenses proposed by the rival. This has led him to attack poorly, making reading errors or losing the ball, which favored the open field play of the locals. At halftime, it was 41-31. The passage through the changing rooms has been reconstituting for the team, which has offered another face in the second half. He has raised the revolutions at the back and has started to feel comfortable, which has allowed him to be more vertical and have good shots, from counter-attacks or good circulation of the ball. Thanks to this, he entered the last quarter ahead on the scoreboard (53-58). And he managed to keep Barberà’s attempts to react at bay until the end. David Cuéllar has been absent due to gastroenteritis.
