In the first two minutes of the match, the duel was very even between the two teams, with the inside play on both sides dominating. This was followed by a very good half for the home team, which led to a 10-2 half. In the final minutes of the quarter, the rivalry between the two teams was very intense, reaching a one-point difference at the end of the quarter (21-22). The second quarter started with the same intensity as the first. The lack of defensive rebounding and outside shooting hurt Bàsquet Girona, which led to a 4-11 half.
