Básquet Girona has recovered with victory at the Joan Busquets del Prat pavilion (85-89). The team was lethal on the counter-attacks and had good success from the three-point line led by Albert Sàbat. Jordi Sargatal’s team has also been very intense in defense and has allowed the locals to leave with only twenty-seven points in the first two quarters. The most outstanding men in El Prat have been Crockett with twenty-nine points and Arnau Parrado decisive in the paint and on the perimeter. On the Girona Basketball side, the most outstanding were Josep Franch (15 points and 19 rating), Karamo Jawara (12 points and 20 rating) and Kaspars Vecvagars (11 points and 15 rating).

In the first quarter, the team was very solid at the low post and based on good penetrations was able to overcome the team from Prat. Karamo Jawara had a great success and was the top scorer in the first quarter with six points. Albert Sàbat and Stürup put the icing on the cake with the hit from the three-point line. At the end of the quarter, Basketball Girona won by 16-20.

In the second ten minutes, the rhythm of the game was brought by Jordi Sargatal’s team, who pressed very well defensively at El Prat. In the first minutes of the quarter, the team from Girona made a partial 2-16 that forced the local coach, Josep Maria Berrocal, to ask for a time-out. Far from changing the rhythm, a good play on the counterattack by Fjellerup and Gonçalo ended with unsportsmanlike behavior and additional free kicks scored by the Portuguese. The quarter ended with a favorable score for Básquet Girona (27-46).

At the restart, Franch and Fjellerup maintained the advantage with two baskets in the paint. Básquet Girona loaded the Baix Llobregat team with fouls and took a maximum advantage of twenty-two points with three free throws by Stürup. A 13-2 run has revived El Prat, which has been placed at ten points with one minute left in the quarter. The quarter ended with good defense and two free throws scored by Sàbat (56-68).

In the last quarter, the home team went on a 14-0 run to take a 70-68 lead. Girona responded with a 1-10 run to make it 79-85 with just a few seconds to go in the match. Kaspars Vecvagars and Karamo Jawara scored the free throws to bring victory to Girona (85-89).
