Básquet Girona beat Río Breogán in Fontajau in a very even match with a frenetic finish that ended in favor of the Girona team (87-83).

The Galician team was the first to hit with an initial run of 5-14 that settled them in the game. The incredible local reaction, with a partial 15-3 with a lot of success and good defenses, has managed to overcome the obstacle on the scoreboard in the first quarter but not in the second. Breogán revalidated Girona’s response with a 3-17 run that allowed them to reach the break ahead (45-52).

At the break, the rival team has achieved its maximum advantage of +11 (45-56) but has added the best part with a three-pointer by Mindaugas Susinskas (64-67). The last period was a back-and-forth in which Río Breogán managed to stay ahead longer until the last three-pointer by Corey Davis that tied the game (83-83). After not scoring, Ike Iroegbu scored the winning basket on a rousing Fontajau.
