Basketball Girona completed a brilliant performance in their ACB debut in Fontajau against Gran Canaria. The game started with a remarkable force from Girona in both rings (23-5, 6′) to end the first quarter 17 up (32-15). The good staging was led by the success of Ike Iroegbu, with 12 points in the first period, and a great defensive exercise that left the game more on track at the break (52-30). 

In the third quarter, Girona did not slow down and maintained the +30 score for several minutes (78-48) with Yves Pons using his physical strength to dominate his own and rival’s circle with plays that put Fontajau on his feet. After a dream debut in Valencia, the fans experienced one of the most incredible ACB games in the pavilion (88-64).
