Xavi Costa stays in Girona

The captain, who had already played in LEB Plata with UB Sabadell, will continue one more year in the senior team

Básquet Girona and Xavi Costa have agreed to renew the base of Sant Feliu de Guíxols for another season. The outsider (1.93m, 10-11-1984) took his first steps in basketball at the Sant Josep de Badalona school. As a cadet, he would become part of the lower categories of FC Barcelona, ​​where he would be until 2003/04 after two years at EBA.  Since then, he has played for UE Mataró (2004-06), Olesa (2006/07), UB Sabadell (2007-09), CB Sant Nicolau (2009-15), CB Mollet (2015-17) and Bàsquet Girona last year. In total, 16 seasons and 456 games in FEB competitions, all in EBA except for 2007/08, in which he played in LEB Plata with UB Sabadell. In the 2009/10 season, when CB Sant Nicolau was linked to Básquet Manresa, he made his debut with the Bages team in the ACB.
