The team started winning with a partial 0-6 that preceded a first period of equality on the court and on the scoreboard. The first half had an outstanding performance by Ante Tomić for the home side and Juani Marcos for the visiting side. The Argentinian point guard made two triples in a row to make it 34-32, but Penya went on an 11-0 run that marked the first difference until the break (49-36).

In the second half, both teams maintained a balanced pace with the score at 20-20 at half-time and the distance of ten points constantly on the scoreboard. The team from Girona showed good signs of their identity, which led to a prolific fourth period that allowed them to seize the chances of the match. The protagonist was Gabe York, who made his debut last week, and who scored 19 points in the last quarter with five successful three-pointers from seven attempts. The North American’s display has allowed them to be four points behind, but the derby has stayed in Badalona.
