Tripartite agreement between Bàsquet Girona, CB Salt and CE Bisbal Bàsquet to promote basketball in Girona
Bàsquet Girona renews the existing agreement with CB Salt. The 3rd FEB team, until last season called the EBA League, will continue to compete in Salt as it did the previous year. In addition, the agreement opens the door for some players from the Bàsquet Girona men’s U18 team to participate with the 3rd FEB team of CB Salt.
This year’s agreement includes a three-way exchange of places between B àsquet Girona, CE Bisbal B àsquet and CB Salt . Thus, the highest training category team from B àsquet Girona will be the U18 men’s team, which will compete in the Junior Preferent A category, after having ceded the 1a Catalana senior place to CE Bisbal B àsquet . For its part, CE Bisbal Bàsquet has ceded its place of 2nd Catalan to CB Salt.
In this way, CB Salt maintains a structure at the Senior stage level with teams from: 3rd FEB, 1st and 2nd Catalana which can be a destination for players who finish the junior stage at Bàsquet Girona .
The General Manager of Bàsquet Girona, Xus Escosa , highly appreciates this agreement as “We continue to work with the Clubs in the area to -Make Territory- and we maintain our commitment to generate synergies between the Girona Basketball Clubs, it is another step to work together and strengthen the base”. Albert Maruny , President of CB Salt, adds: “ We are very satisfied to have reached this agreement with Bàsquet Girona. We believe that we can be useful to Girona basketball by collaborating in the training of players, giving them the opportunity to compete at a high level. We believe that for CB Salt it is a step forward and also serves us to provide role models for our young people.” For his part, Joan Ferrer, Sports Director of CE Bisbal Bàsquet , highlights: “It is a first agreement with Bàsquet Girona and we hope that others can come that will certainly benefit both clubs, as well as the level of basketball in our territory”
Girona basketball is strengthened with this tripartite agreement to compete at the highest training level and at the same time, essential complicity is established between clubs.
