MINDAUGAS SUSINSKAS RENEWS WITH GIRONA BASKETBALL

The Lithuanian player will continue to defend the club's colors for another season.

Girona Basketball and Mindaugas Susinskas have reached an agreement for the renewal of the contract that will unite the Lithuanian player with the entity for one more season, until the summer of 2026. With this renewal, the power forward will continue to be an important piece within the club’s sports project, contributing his experience and versatility to the team’s interior and exterior game.

Since his arrival at Fontajau in the summer of 2023, Susinskas has played a total of 68 official matches with Bàsquet Girona, of which 65 correspond to the Endesa League. His commitment, regularity and ability to adapt to different roles have made him one of the most trusted men in the coaching staff.

Born in Alytus (Lithuania) in 1995, and with a height of 2.04 meters, Susinskas arrived in Girona from the Niners Chemnitz of the German BBL. He had previously played in the Lithuanian league with Prienu CBet and Wolves Twinsbet Vilnius, and trained in the lower divisions of KK Alytus Dzukija, his hometown club.

During the 2024-25 season, Susinskas averaged 18 minutes per game, contributing 6.8 points, shooting 48.5% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and an excellent 91.9% from the free throw line. He also grabbed 2.2 rebounds and dished out nearly an assist per game, establishing himself as a reliable player.

Since Moncho’s arrival, he has shown great consistency, and is capable of playing both as a 3 and as a 4. For me, he is one of the best —if not the best— catch and shoot shooters in the league. With him we will be able to open the field much better, taking into account the outside players we have, and he also knows Moncho’s system perfectly. He will help us continue the good end of the season that we had last year, which is exactly what we want.”
