The most valued player of the last LF Endesa strengthens Girona’s interior game

Mariam Coulibaly (Bamako, Mali; 07/10/1997) is a new player for Spar Girona for the upcoming season. The 192 cm and 27-year-old center comes from Club Joventut Badalona, ​​where she has had one of the most dominant seasons of her career.

Coulibaly trained at CB Islas Canarias, where she made her debut in the Women’s League in the 2015-16 season. She later signed for Snatt’s Femení Sant Adrià, with whom she played two seasons in the LF Endesa, establishing herself as one of the most promising young centers in the championship. In 2019 she made the leap to France, playing for Landerneau, and the following year she returned to the top national category with IDK Euskotren, where she played for four seasons before signing, last summer, for La Penya.

The 2024-25 season, with Club Joventut Badalona, ​​has been her best in terms of statistics and individual recognition: 22 points per game with 61.6% two-point shooting, 10.8 rebounds and an average rating of 29, thus leading the league in this section. She has been chosen MVP of the day up to 12 times in 30 days, has been part of the best ideal five of the LF Endesa and has competed with Bibby for the final MVP of the competition.

With this move, the club continues to shape the new Bàsquet Girona sports project for the 2025–26 season, with Mariam Coulibaly as Spar Girona’s tenth confirmed player.
