Spar Girona | Monday, 24 August 2026
SPAR Girona has completed its first official week of pre-season work with the aim of starting to build the foundations of the new project. After a progressive start during the first days of August, the team has been incorporating personnel until it has formed an increasingly complete group, with Roberto Íñiguez and his coaching staff at the head of the first work sessions.
In addition to the work on the court, these first days have also served to familiarize the new additions with the work methodology and begin to create bonds with their teammates. A necessary process to shape a group that is still under construction, but which has already begun to put the first pieces of what will be SPAR Girona 2026/27.
With the first week already completed, the team is now facing a new stage of the pre-season, in which daily work will begin to combine with the first minutes of competition. The first test will arrive this Friday, August 28 in Platja d’Aro, where SPAR Girona will face Manresa CBF. It will be the first opportunity to transfer some of the concepts worked on during these first sessions to the court. The preparation calendar is added with a new friendly on Thursday, September 17 in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, where SPAR Girona will face Jairis at 6:00 p.m. A new test that will allow the Girona team to continue accumulating playing minutes and progressing in their preparation for the first official commitments.
With the arrival of Carolina Guerrero, Roberto Íñiguez now has Madison Conner, Laura Quevedo, Queralt Casas, Juana Camilión, Ainhoa López, Marija Lekovic, Axelle Merceron and Guerrero herself to continue advancing in preparation and face the first preseason match.
