About the opponent

Zastal Zielona Gora will be the next obstacle for the Girona team in a match that will demand the best version of the team. The Polish team has experienced players and arrives in Fontajau with a win and a loss in group B. Moncho Fernández warns of the difficulty of the duel: “I think we will have a tough match again. The Poles have a lot of experience. I hope we have the necessary strength to face it from a health point of view and we will see if Pluta can help us. We will complete the call-up with the U22 boys”.

The keys to the match

Control of the game and defensive intensity will be two determining aspects in trying to add another victory. The Galician coach points out what the main factors will be to compete against the Polish rival: “We have to control the game and the 1 on 1. Defense will be key to developing our game and continuing to grow.”

FIATC Girona faces the challenge after the victory against Corunya in the ACB, in a match in which Jassel Pérez scored 40 points. With their sights now set on Europe, the team will look to maintain their unbeaten run and continue to make strides in a week that will also include Sunday’s match against Asisa Joventut, at 12 noon, again in Fontajau.
