Three-way agreement between Básquet Girona, CB Salt and CE Bisbal Bàsquet to promote Bàsquet Girona

Bàsquet Girona renews the existing agreement with CB Salt. The 3rd FEB team, until last season called the EBA League, will continue to compete in Salt as it did the previous year. In addition, the agreement opens the doors to which, federatively, some players from the U18 men’s team of Bàsquet Girona can participate with the 3rd FEB team of CB Salt.

In this year’s agreement, a three-way exchange of places is added between the Bàsquet Girona, the CE Bisbal Bàsquet and the CB Salt . So, the team of the highest formative category by Bàsquet Girona will be the U18 men’s team, which will compete in the Junior Preferred A category, after having ceded the 1st Catalan senior place to CE Bisbal Bàsquet . For its part, CE Bisbal Bàsquet has ceded its place of 2nd Catalan to CB Salt.

In this way, the CB Salt maintains a structure at the level of the Senior stage with teams of: 3rd FEB, 1st and 2nd Catalana which can represent a destination for players who finish the junior stage at Bàsquet Girona .

The General Manager of Bàsquet Girona, Xus Escosa , evaluates this agreement very satisfactorily as “We continue to walk with the Clubs in the area to -Make Territory- and we maintain the commitment to generate synergies between the Bàsquet Girona, it is another step for to work together and strengthen the base”. Albert Maruny , President of CB Salt, adds: “We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Básquet Girona. We believe that we can be useful to Girona basketball by collaborating in the training of players, giving them the opportunity to compete at a high level. We believe that the CB Salt is a step forward and serves us, in addition, to provide our young people with references”. For his part, Joan Ferrer, Sporting Director of the CE Bisbal Bàsquet , highlights: “It is the first agreement with Bàsquet Girona and we hope that others can come that will surely benefit both clubs, as well as the level of basketball in our territory”

Bàsquet Girona is strengthened with this tripartite agreement to compete at the highest training level and at the same time, essential complicity is established between clubs.
