Queralt Casas, new player for Spar Girona

Queralt Casas (18/11/1992) is a new player for Spar Girona for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The Bescanó player, who is 1.77 meters tall and plays the scout position, has signed with the Girona club for one year.

Casas stands out for being a solid player on both sides of the court, where she brings defensive intensity, character and dedication. The Girona native arrives from Valencia Basket, where she has been playing since the 2019-20 season.

As captain of the orange squad, the scout has been a fundamental part of the 11 titles achieved by the club to date: the EuroCup Women (2021), the LF Endesa Super Cup (2021, 2023 and 2024), the SuperCup Women (2021), the Copa de la Reina (2024 and 2026) and the LF Endesa (2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026).

With his arrival, Spar Girona adds experience to the club’s new sports project. The scout becomes the sixth addition to the squad, after the already announced signings of Iyana Martín, Juana Camilión, Tilbe Şenyürek, Madison Conner and Marta García.

A wide route

Queralt Casas has a long career and experience in different leagues on the continent. Throughout his career, he has played for clubs such as Stadium Casablanca, Rivas Ecopolis, Turkish Galatasaray, French teams Nantes, Basket Landes and Flammes Carolo, Hungarian Sopron and Valencia Basket itself.

This trajectory is also reflected in his presence with the Spanish senior national team, where he has won two gold medals in the 2013 and 2019 EuroBaskets, a silver medal in the 2023 EuroBasket and a bronze in the 2018 World Cup.
