The BCR team fails to add victory in its visit to Hospitalet

Last Saturday, the Girona Basketball Wheelchair team played an intense match against the CEM Hospitalet – Afaniad Vinaròs team, in Hospitalet. The Girona team fails to achieve victory by a score of 63-50. This match was a great match of fight and determination from both teams.

The first quarter was very balanced, with both teams showing a good level of competition. Bàsquet Girona started strongly, but it was the home team that knew how to stay firm. The first quarter ended with a tie at 8-8, a clear example of the intensity of the match.

At halftime, CEM Hospitalet – Afaniad Vinaròs began to take control of the match. The Girona team tried to stay close, but the difference in the score began to grow, ending the second quarter with a 26-21 advantage for the home team.

The third quarter was where the game began to turn. Bàsquet Girona saw that their defense was not enough to stop the offensive rhythm of l’Hospitalet, which extended its lead to 46-33 at the end of this quarter.

Despite Bàsquet Girona’s efforts in the last quarter to get closer to the score, the home team managed to manage their advantage. In the end, the result was 63-50, leaving Bàsquet Girona with the defeat in a difficult match in which they were unable to overcome defensive difficulties.
